WANGANUI CLUB SUMMER COMPETITION MEDAL ROUND RESULTS A medal competition was played at the Belmont links last Saturday. The best yards returned were as follows: — M. Hunter 84—10—74 ' II Holioyd 119—21—75 \V. .1. Gardner 99 —-- — B. Power 91 —13 —78 During the summer months regular competitions will be held on Saturday afternoons. An attractive programme has been drown nr and is posted at the clubhouse. A match play event, for which entries close on Saturday. November 30, is also being arranged by the summer match sub-com-nittee. Messrs I. G. Beaven and L. W. Hogben. These members desiring to compete should enter at once. To cater for mid-week players ds well as the regular week-end players, monthly medal competitions are being conducted. Rounds may be played at any time, and the best nett aggregate of” 'wo rounds will he declared the winner. Cards for this competition are obtainable at the professionals shop. The first of this series closes on December 21. The best nett aggregate two cards so far returned arc those of B. Power (71 and 70 —141). The fairways and greens are in splendid condition at present, and with most of the rough cut, more members than usual are continuing to visit the , links.
