REGENT THEATRE

“I’VE BEEN AROUND.” <r [’ve Been Around,” which screens to-day at the Regent, has Chester Morris in the starring role. He is surrounded by a brilliant supporting cast, headed by charming Rochelle Hudson. The story is that of a girl who 1 swept off her feet by the attentions of a smooth-tongued adventurer, who is seeking the wealthiest financial match ho can find. But the girl, played by Miss Hudson, discovers the character of the man just as she is about to break her engagement with Chester Morris. She rushes the wedding with Morris and then in a dramatic scene reveals her love for the adventurer. When Morris discovers that he has married a girl who loves another man, he doesn’t kill her or the other man. He does nothing that the ordinary chap I would do. But how he punishes her! How he brings her to her knees! Miss Hudson does such a splendid job that you hate her for most of the picture. Isabel Jewell is a perfect ray of bubbling sunshine throughout the picture, and. Gene Lockhart, as Morris’ pal, furnishes a wealth of laughs. G. P. Huntley, jun., as the adventurer, is excellent, Ralph Morgan, as Miss Hudson’s father, handles a small role well. “Upper World,” the Warner Bros, picture based on the smashing story on “how the other half lives,” by. the celebrated novelist and playwright. Ben Hecht, is scheduled as the second attraction. Warren William heads a strong cast of talented players in the role of a multi-millionaire railway magnate who longs for the society of his beautiful wife, a part played by Mary Astor, who neglects him shamefully to foster her social career. This neglect leads him into an affair with a burlesque show chorus girl, enacted by Ginger Rogers. The picture is set in the colourful background of a palatial

Long Island estate, with scenes in a love nest and a burlesque theatre. A yacht and an airplane also play important parts in some of the thrilling incidents of the picture.
