THE FORDELL SALE The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report a yarding of 300 head of mixed catlte, comprising mainly cows and heifers and yearling and 2-year steers, at their Fordell sale held yesterday. While there was not a keen enquiry for young steers, a keen demand for grown beasts was apparent. Only a limited number of these came forward, but sold readily up to £7 Bs. Female cattle were sought after and a good sale for this class resulted. Some of the prices were as follows: Mixed bullocks £6 5s to £7 8s; two-year steers £6 3s 6d; Hereford cows (speyed) £4 15s; P.A. and R.P. cows (speyed) £4 12s 6d; forward cows £3 5s to £3 10s; mixed coloured cows and heifers £2 12s to £3 13s; mixed cows £3 2s 6d; heavy heifers £6 12s 6d; medium heifers £5 to £5 7s.
