Associated Newspapers, Ltd., reports a net prolit of £156,770 for the year ended September -I’, compared with £186651 the previous year, and £165J1>3 for 1932-33. Prevision for taxation is made by a transfer of £lO,OOO from the profit, compared with £ll,OOO the previous year, and £20,000is transferred to reserve for deprecintion of assets. Two interim dividends, each cf 2 per cent., on ordinary and preference shares, have been paid, and the directors recommend a final dividend at the same rate, making 6 per cent, lor the year on both classes of capital, an unchanged rate. The ordinary dividend requires £63,187. and the preference £89,437. and £9872 is carried forward, against £5725 brought forward.
