NEW AFRICAN GOLD REEF WORTH 280 MILLIONS Received Sept. 27, 11.5 p.m. JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 26. Hans J’iron, a Government mining engineer, has announced the existence of a. gold reef valued at. £280,000,000 running the full extent of the present reef at Witwatersrand at a depth of lO.ffiO feet, at which work is possible as a result of recent researches.
