MEETING AT PAEROA
WEEK’S POSTPONEMENT. THE TAUMARUNUI FJXTURE. WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. Owing to incessant rain ut Paeroa, the stewards of the Taumarunui Racing Club decided this morning to postpone for a week the meeting that was to have been held to-morrow and on Monday. The stewards informed the Racing Conference that the course would not be inwi fit state to be raced on for several days at least, and permission was therefore granted for thv meeting to be held over for a week, the new dates being Saturday and Monday, October 5 and 7. The early decision to postpone will mean that horses will not needlessly have to make the trip to Paeroa.
