Miller, Superintendent of the Airways Bureau of the Department of Commerce, returned from Kingman’s Reef in the coastguard cut ter Itasca to-day. He indicated that this or Palmyra was suitable for an airways base between Honolulu ami Pago Pago. He will l ocoed to AVashington soon to report on colonisation by Americans of the Honolulu, Baker, and Jarvis Islands in the same area as the aeronautical camps.

Six Hawaiians who were relieved recently returned at the same time. Mr. Miller reported that the flying weather was excellent between Honolulu and Samoa throughout the year. The aeronautical survey is available to Pan-American Airways. Air. Coman is meeting Air. H. Gattyon Alonday to arrange a possible visit to the Islands.
