PERSONAL Mr. Winston Drew successfully underwent a further operation yesterday at the Maitland Private Hospital, Palmerston North. Mr. Frank Murphy, who has been a member of the mechanical staff of tho Manawatu County Council for the past six years, left yesterday to take up a position with Colonial Motors, Wellington. Mr. J. H. Smith, who for the past 18 months has been a member of the engineering staff of (he Manawatu County Counci] leaves at the week-end to take up a position with the Masterlon County Council. Miss Mac]4ean v. Mrs. Atmore; Mrs. Price v. Mrs. Naylor; Airs. James v. Miss Lindbergh. The competition is played under the same rules as a medal round.
