The motorship Kapiti left Wanganui last night for Wellington, where she is scheduled to load again to-day. The vessel is expected at the town wharf again to-morrow morning and will return to Wellington after discharge. < Burgess and Co.). HOLMDALE EXPECTED TO-MORROW. Holm and Company's coastal steamer-Holm-dale, en route to Wanganui from Dunedin and via ports, is expected to complete her loading at Wellington and Picton to-day. The vessel is due at Wanganui to-morrow. After discharge at the town wharf she will load for the return trip to southern ports. (Holm and Co.). OREPUKI WELLINGTON TO-DAY. The Canterbury Company’s coastal steamer Orepuki is now scheduled to load for Wanganui at Wellington to-day and Picton to-mor-row. The steamer is expected here on Saturday and is to sail on Saturday night for WelPngton, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Picton. (Millward and Co.). THE MOTOR-SHIP BREEZE. The Canterbury Company's motor-ship Breeze is en route to Wanganui from Bluff and via ports. The Breeze is listed to load at Oamaru and Timaru to-day. STORM DUNEDIN TO-DAY. The Canterbury Company’s s.s. Storm is now scheduled to commence loading for Wanganui at Dunedin to-day. The vessel will complete at Oamaru and Timaru to-morrow, Lyttelton Saturday and Wellington on Monday. She is expected at Wanganui on Tuesday and will load for Wellington and southern porto after discharge. (Millward and Co.). ONEHVNGA-NEW PLYMOUTH SERVICE, j HAUTURU DUE SATURDAY. With sugar and general cargo from Onehunga and New Plymouth, the Northern Company's a.m.v. Hauturu is expected at Wanganui on Saturday. The vessel is scheduled to load at New Plymouth to-morrow. (Johnston and Co.). CEMENT FROM TARAKOHE. TAUPATA EXPECTED TO-MORROW. The Anchor Company’s m.v. Taupata is expected to discharge a cargo of Tarakohe cement at the town wharf to-morrow. The vessel is proceeding to Wanganui via New Plymouth. She will return to Tarakohe after discharge. (Cock and Co.). OVERSEAS VESSELS. (To Berth at Castlecliff.) KALINGO LOADING. The Union Company’s freighter Kalingo (2047 tons. Captain C. Ostenfeld) is expected to leave Sydney to-day for New Plymouth, Picton and Wanganui. The Kalingo is due here on or about September 16. She will proceed to Greymouthj after discharge. (Millward and Co.). NAURU ISLAND PHOSPHATES. Advice has been received from Messrs. Kempthorne, Prosser and Company. Ltd., that the Queen Maud will now load at Nauru Island instead cf the Nairnbank. The Queen Maud is due at Castlecliff on or about October 5. HOMEBOATS DUE. (To Load in Roadstead.) PORT FAIRY EN ROUTE. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line's motor-ship Port Fairy (7930 tons. Captain Farmar) is at present loading at Oamaru. She is expected at Wellington to-morrow, and is to sail the following day for the Wanganui roadstead. From Wanganui the vessel proceeds to New Plymouth and Auckland, from which port she is to sail on September 19 for London, via Cape Horn and Dakar. tSmith, Beauchamp and Go.). THE TONGARIRO. The Federal Steam Navigation Company's s.s. Tongariro will load for London and West Coast port# of England on September 18 and 19. The vessel will anchor in the roadstead and take on board a quantity of frozen meat. (Burgess and Co.) THE FORDSDALE. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Fordsdale is also scheduled to load in tne roadstead for Great Britain. The vessel is expected here about October 4. (Freeman R. Jackson and Co.) FROM THE SHIP’S LOG. FOR SYDNEY TO-DAY. The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Marama is to clear Auckland at 3 p.m. thus afternoon for Sydney, where she is expected to arrive on Monday morning. MONOWAI FROM WELLINGTON. After undergoing her annual overhaul and survey, the Union Company’s liner Monowai will leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon for Sydney, where she will enter the Vancouver service in place of the Aorangi. The Aorangi will be laid up at Sydney for her overhaul. JAPANESE TRAINING The Japanese training ship Shintoku Maru is attracting considerable attention at Auckland. She will be open for inspection by school children to-morrow and is to sail on Monday for Japan. SURREY DELAYED AT BLUFF. Unfavourable weather delayed the Federal Jteamer Surrey at Biuff. The is loading for Great Britain and is now expected to arrive at New Plymouth on Saturday. She is due at Opua on the following Saturday, and at Auckland on September 17. The vessel is scheduled to sail for London on September 23. THE WANGANELLA. The Huddart Parker liner Wanganella is to leave Melbourne to-morrow and Sydney on Monday tor Auckland. KARU LEAVES FREMANTLE. En route to Wellington from Talbot (Wales), the Union Company’s new freighter Karu cleared Fremantle on Saturday. The Karu left Talbot on July 17 and called at Safaji Islncte in the Red Sea. She is due at Wellington on or about September 15. THE NEW ZEALAND STAR. The Blue Star Line motor-ship New Zealand Star reached Dunedin on Monday morning from London, via the Panama Canal and Auckland. The motor-ship is scheduled to leave Dunedin (o-morrow for Bluff, Lytte.ton, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. On October 1 she will sail for London, via Cape Korn. GISBORNE’S NEW DREDGE. Captain R. J. Patty has been appointed by the Gisborne Harbour Board to be master of its new dredge which is now in the course of construction. Captain Patty has had extensive experience in handling shipe, and holds certificates both as a master and an engineer, covering fully the score of work to be undertaken in his new appointment. Captain Patty is best known as a radio experimenter. He carried out early experiments in short-wave radio and radio telephony, and it was due to his initiative that the installation of the ship-to-ehore radio telephone was adopted by the Gisborne Harbour Board some years ago. Captain Patty was in Wanganui recently and carried out successful experiments with the Wanganui Harbour Board’s ehip-to-shore radio, improving the apparatus considerably. LOADING FOR OVERSEAS.
