The South African cricketers won the final first-class county match of their tour by defeating Kent. at Canterbury by an innings and 138 runs. 'The tourists carried their first innings total to 31.1. and then dismissed Kent twice during the remainder of the day’s play for 124 aud 49. Kent’s decisive defeat was largely due (o the remarkable slow bowling of Vincent. In what was easily nis best performance of the tour Vincent took sev&n wickets at a cost of 4S runs In Kent’s first innings and two for 5 iu second. The remaining eight wickets in tho county's innings were shared by Crisp (four for 21) and Langton (four for 18). Ashdown was the only Kent player to reach double figures.
