SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WILD WEATHER IN ENGLAND [British Official Wireless.l Received Aug. 30, 7.25 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 29. Thunderstorms were experienced over many parts of England yesterday, and several houses were struck by lightning. One of the most serious occurrences, was at. East Kirkley, Nottinghamshire, where transformers at an electric power station were struck and the place set on fire. Two persons received severe shock, but otherwise were not injured. The storm was accompanied by torrential rain.
