EXHIBITION OF WATER COLOURS

HEW ZEALAND SCENES To capture beauty of landscape of trees is the very laudable aim of Airs H. 11. Pulleine-Spencer, an artist of note, who is at present visiting Wanganui. Born in New Zealand, the artist studied in Australia and her delightful collection of water-coiours on view in Tingey’s windows, shows tne measure of her success. Mrs Pullei ne-Spencer has caught very successfully the atmosphere and charm of both New Zealand and Australian scenery. There are some fascinating studies of this country and of New Zealand’s giant kauri trees. They are all delicately charming io colour and the artist has the happy knack of catching the evanescent charm of the Dominion’s landscape as is shown by several clever studies, including typical glimpses of Masterton and Wellington. The water-colours will be on view to-day and following days and all who are interested in this beautiful art should make a point of visiting Tingey’s to see the pictures.
