PIGEON FLYING

CENTRAL CLUB THREE RACES HELD. The Central Pigeon Club has held thre races during the past fortnight, the season being opened on Saturday, August 17, with a race from Levin, followed hist week-end with a race from National Park, and an interval race from Levin. There was a good hamper for all races and although conditions have not been of the best for flying the times registered have been very satisfactory rind with the Inteiest anil enthusiasm displayed by members aud the prospects of an increased number of entries, future racing promises to be very keen. The club will hamper on Friday night, for a race from Paekakariki and and interval race from Manunui. Members are requested to have their entries in by 7.30 p.m., and it is hoped that a good hamper will be forthcoming for these races.
