ONE FOR WANGANUI PALMERSTON NORTH DECISION. [ Per Press Association. J PALMERSTON N., Aug. 26. A decision to establish tuberculosis clinics at New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera and Wanganui was reached at a meeting of the Hospital Board to-day. The chairman, Air. J. K. Hornblow, reported that a deputation from the board, which was the controlling authority of the Otaki Sanatorium, had visited Taranaki and had received a sympathetic hearing. As a result clinics would be set up to combat the dread disease. He said that if ‘they could get cases in the incipient stages they could effect 100 per cent, of cures, and added that the board deserved credit for being courageous enough to take over something which other boards were not prepared to.
