BRITISH AIRCRAFT
BLGGEST BOOM IN HISTORY. Received Aug. 25, 6.3 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 25. The Sunday Times says that the British aircraft industry is enjoying the biggest boom in history. Statistics issued to-day revealed that passenger and freight traffic on Imperial Airways increased 50 per cent, during the first three months of 1935, and mails have doubled. The value of aircraft exports is the highest recorded. Croydon is congested with air traffic, 200 aeroplanes arriving and departing in a single day. It is increasingly difficult to find sufficient qualified pilots to cope with the expanding traffic.
