WESTRALIAN PREMIER
OPPOSED TO ITALY’S PLAN .VICE-CONSUL’S REGRET. PERTH, Aug. 23. The Premier (Air. Philip Collier) in the Assembly declared his abhorrence of war. He praised the British Government’s efforts to preserve world peace. Air. Collier, whose speech was loudly applauded by members, said that the moral sympathy of the world would be against. Italy in tihe dispute with Abyssinia. The Acting Vice-Consul for Italy (Signor Constantine) expressed regret that the Premier hsould have shown an attitude of discrimination and regretted that the head of the State Government should publicly antagonise Italy.
