CARD EVENING The second of a series of card evenings conducted by the Oliakea Hall Committee was held in the hall on Wednesday night. At the conclusion' of ttards a few dances were hold, the music being played by Mrs. H. Redpath. The most guinea of cards were won by Mrs. L. Koberstein and Mr. A. Knits, while consolations were won bv ■ I ‘ ■ Joy Ellery and Mr. L. Koberstein. HOCKEY. The ladies’ hockey team to play Hinemoa on Saturday has been selected as follows: -Mrs. R, Griffin, Misses I'. Ca.pstic.lc, M. Murray, M. Taylor, Ti. Ellery, M, Tremain, S. Knox, I. Mullins, 1. Matthews. J. Pedersen, N. Ellery and K. Taylor. . RIFLE SHOOTING The se.-tion lilials to have been fired on the Awahuri Miniature Rifle Club’s range Inst night have been postponed till next Wednesday.
