INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION
BRITAIN’S INDEX FIGURES [ British Official Wireiebs. ] RUGBY, Aug. 21. The Board of ’Trade index from the industrial porduction of June quarter is 1.6 per cent, less than for the March quarter, but 6.3 per cent, greater than for the June quarter of last year, the numbers for the three periods being 111.2, 113.0, and 104.6 respectively for each group. The index for the June quarter of this year shows an improvement compared with the same quarter of last year, and manufacturing production as a whole was 7.1 per cent, greater.
