CONCERT AND DANCE

AT BRUNSWICK. On Tuesday evening a concert and dance was held in Brunswick Hall in aid of the local school funds. In spite of bleak and wintry conditions there was scarcely a vacant seat. High hopes for an enjoyable evening were not disappointed, for the entertainment was in the hands of Air. H. J. Trussell, his orchestra and helpers, in all about 20 musicians completely filling the stage Delightful numbers were rendered by the orchestra, vocal solos by Aliss Gaunt, Airs. Ashmore and Air. S. Kendall, violin solo by Airs. Trussell, zylophone duet by Alasters Mill and Barrie Trussell, a*charming instrumental trio by Airs. Trussell (violin) and her two sons, Will (piano) and Barrie (zylophone). Recitations were given by Airs. W. W. Lapibert, several of these delighting the children present, and a community sing was enjoyed, with orchestral accompaniment, Air. S. Kendall being song-leader. The audience was an appreciative one and encores were demanded without exception. Air. W. Ross thanked Air. Trussell and his helpers for the great pleasure they had given and for their unselfish service to the community. Dancing was enjoyed until after midnight, music supplied by Mr. and Mrs. Trussell and Mrs. Kendall adding much to thc pleasures of the dancers.
