SERIOUS CHARGE
JURY FAIL TO AGREE. [ Per Press Association. 1 HASTINGS, Aug. 22. After a retirement of 41 hours the jury failed to agree in the case of Frances Millicent Lorrigan, married woman of Hastings, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of manslaughter. A retrial will begin next Wednesday. Lorrigan was charged with causing the death of Christina Margaret Ramsay at Hastings on March 16 last by an unlawful act, and alternatively, with using an instrument unlawfully •A Christina Margaret Ramsay.
