WANGANUI ASSOCIATION GAMES EVENING HELD. 1N TER ESTI NG COM P ETITION S. The Wanganui Basketball Association held a most successful games evening in St. Paul’s Hall on Thursday evening in connection with the Popular Club Contest. During the evening a number of enjoyable and entertaining games and competitions were played, players and spectators alike enjoying the fun. The prize for providing the most entertaining competition was awarded the Y.M.C.A. B team. The marching contest was another entertaining event, several excellent displays being given. Mr. D. Dustin, who judged this event, awarded as follows:—Y.M.C.A. A team, 48 points, 1; Nga Toa A, 46, 2; Y.M.C.A. B, 45, The Basketball Association is endeavouring to place the ga.me on a sound basis and the various teams are to be commended for the fine sporting sipirit they are showing in cooperating in such a splendid manner.
