ALLEGED BOOKMAKING
USE OF R.S.A. PREMISES UPROAR AT A MEETING. ( Per Press Association. ) CHRISTCHURCH, April 29. ”1 understand that a member of our association has been using the Jpllicoe Hall for bookmaking,” declared a member of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers’ Association at the annual meeting to-night. “He has been warned by a member of the executive, and he has been prevented from using the telephone at tho club, but he still loiters round. ” The statement provoked uproar and the meeting went into committee to dis cuss it.
