‘■LIVE’' EARTH WIRE INVESTIGATION IN HAND. [ Per Press Association ] THAMES, Alaroh 11. Alexander Frederick Feisst, the nine-year-old son of Mr. F. Feisst of Beaxth Road, was electrocuted on Saturday through grasping the earth wire of toe electricity supply under tne house. Tihe father last saw the boy alive at 11.oU, and wnen he tailed to appear for dinner, a search was instituted. The ponce were intormed m the evening, and picture audiences were notified of the disappearance. It was thought, that the boy had gone with some fishermen, but a search of the foreshore was without result. Early yesterday morning the father remembered the boy saying he could recover a ball from under the house. He searched there, but saw nothing in the darkness. A further search after daylight revealed the boy’s body, with a hand on the earth wire, and sparks still coming from the point of contact. The unfortunate child had received the full force of the 240 volts supply. An inquest was opened, and after the father had given evidence it was adjourned to enable the police to investigate tne circumstances of tne earth wire being “live.” The family had occupied the house since October, and knew nothing previously regarding the wire.
