LATE LEAVING DARWIN. DARWIN, March 1.1. The outgoing air mail left for Koepang yesterday, 24 hours behind schedule. Mr. Bertram Guinness is travelling by the ’plane. The incoming English air mail, which is 48 hours behind schedule, missed its connection with the Wanganella which left Sydney for Wellington on Satur day. The English mails will come from Australia by the Strathaird, which, leaves Brisbane to-morrow and arrtyes at Auckland on Friday, NEW PRIVATE COMPANY CAMPBELL BLACK'S PROJECT LONDON, March 10. Mr Campbell Black has formed a private •company, Campbell Black Aviation, Limited, to “ undertake all kinds of aerial transport” under the directorship of himself and the actress, Florence Desmond, to whom he is engaged. AVIATION AWARDS SCOTT'S FINE RECORD BABCLONA, March 10. The International League of Aviators voted that Mr Scott had achieved the most meritorious record in 1934. This carries the international trophy, also King Albert’s gold medal. Similar awards were made to Commander Ernst Lehmann (German dirigible pilot), Madame Piccard (Belgium dirigible pilot), Madame Piccard (Belgian balloon pilot), and the late Helene Boucher.
