INTERNATIONAL CROQUET
AUSTRALIA BEATS ENGLAND. TEST MATCH AT SYDNEY. Received Feb. 6 1.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 5. Australia defeated England in the test, croquet by four rubbers to two. When play was resumed Australia were leading int hree of four single rubbers. England had thp, chance of a draw if she won the doubles, but victory was assured Australia when Windsor and McCleary defeated (Du Pre and Wemyss. The remaining rubber went to three games before Miller and Hunt went down to Boulter and Pet ley. With England victorious against New Zealand the third competition in the first test begins to-morrow when Australia meets New Zealand.
