DUKE OF GLOUCESTER
FIJIAN VISIT ENDS. A I I KEWALKING CEUEMOXW. Received Feb. 5, 7.20 p.m. SEVA. Feb. 3. Yesterday the Duke of Gloucester visited the island of P>cqa, 20 miles South of Suva, where a firewalking ceremony was performed in his honour, ami greatly impressed the Royal visitor. 'Later in the day he took part in a fish drive, and was so interested that he jumped overboard from a whaleboat ami assisted in hauling in the net, in which were over 100 fish. Last night there was a dance in the Town Hall for petty officers and men of H.M.A.S. Australia, while the Duke attended a. private dance at Government House. This morning the Duke and party loft in the Australia for Apia, and among those on the wharf to bid him farewell were the Governor, Mayor and officials. The guard of honour comj>rised European, Fijian, and Indian troops and constabulary.
