The sec ond load was successfully carried to the Jacob Ruppert by the Bear (4 Oakland, and all of importance that re mains includes lh(* four aeroplanes and certain scientific instruments, notnblv magnetic an.l meteorological app;iralii> with which observations will bo made mil i| the. last minute. 'The removing of the aeroplanes is a big problem, as lhe Bear of Oakland is not. equipped to handle them. RearAdmiral Byrd said that if possible ho hoped to berth the Ruppert. In any event, he hopes to depart on February 7.
