KING’S JUBILEE
RELIGIOUS CELEBRATIONS GREAT EMPIRE SERVICE. LONDON, Feb. 3. The religious celebrations in connection with the King’s jubilee include a great Empire service at Canterbury Cathedral on June 15 at which the Dominion Premiers will be present. A feature of the service will be the dedication of the Canterbury crosses carried out in stone from the cathedral for the chief cathedrals of the Empire. Many religious organisations, including missionary societies, are participating in Lhe jubilee service of thauks-giving and intercession at the Albert Hall on May 3 for which the Bishop of Norwich has prepared a prayer which will be spoken throughout the Empire. LOYAL ADDRESSES PREPARATIONS IN LONDON [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY’, Feb. 2. lhe presentation of loyal addresses of congratulation from both Houses of Parliament to the King on the occasion of the jubilee celebrations of his accession to the Throne will be one of the many interesting functions in connection with the event in which His Majesty will take part. It is understood that the addresses will be presented in ‘Westminster Hall, which is f the oldest part ol the Palace of Westminster.
