WANGANUI ASSOCIATION VISIT TO TARANAKI. A team representing Wanganui Croquet Association toured to Hawera and New Plymouth last week and played matenes with each association. Beautiful weather prevailed throughout and a most enjoyable time was experienced by all. Against a very strong combination at Hawera Wanganui lost, two games to seven, but. were successful at New Plymouth, winning by six games to three. ENGLAND AND NEW ZEALAND PROGRESS TOTALS Received Feb. 3, 7.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 3. The result of the first croquet test between England and New Zealand depends on the outcome of the last doubles match, which was unfinished to-day owing to rain. The singles match unfinished on Friday was completed to-day, Pou It er defeating Airs. Cal do w. Progress totals are:—

Singles.—England: Three rubbers, 7 games, 288 points; New Zealand, 2 rubbers, 7 games, 249 points. New Zealand began to-day by winning the first doubles, Hartnell and Airs. Corbett defeating Petley and Pou Iter.

The second doubles between Airs. Caldow and Stratton and Du Pre and Wemyss is proceeding. It was interrupted by rain and will be completed on Monday.
