CANTERBURY WIN TROPHY W ELLINGTON DEFEATED [ Par Press Association. J WELLINGTON, Jan. 21. Canterbury, by winning four of thf six matches played to-day, won the Wilding Shield for tennis from Wellington. On Friday Canterbury and Wellington had won three matches each. Canterbury thus won by seven matches to five. A tricky north wind took careful handling but the standard of tennis was high. Results were as follow, Wellington players being mentioned first:— Singles.—D. G. France lost to C. Angas 5—7, 6—2, 5—7; N. Smith lost, to H. A. Barnett 4 —6, I—6; R. McL. Ferkins lost to R.
