RUGBY FOOTBALL. SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNEY. Four junior and no senior teams competed in the seven-a-side tourney last Saturday. The attendance was exceedingly poor and clearly showed that the public was not interest in the tournament, which was literally a “washout.” The four junior teams that competed were Hiwera A and B, Hautapu and Utiku. Hautapu defeated Hiwera A by three points to nil in the final and won the Collier Cup. (Detailed results arc as follows: — Hiwera A 6. Utiku 0. (Rev. McKenzie was, referee.) Hautapu 18, Hiwera B 0. (Mr. W. Mako was referee.) Final. —Hautapu 3, Hiwera A 0. (Mr. M. Collins was referee.) Pirate juniors entered two teams, but withdrew on account of th'c McKee Cup match against Mangaweka. MAJESTIC CINEMA. One thing which critics have pointed out as unique about “Kiss Me Again,” now at the Majestic Cinema, is its definite appeal to both men and women. Usually a film is rated either as a “man’s picture” or a “woman’s picture,” but so gaily and tenderly worked out is the love story, and so varied are the scenes between a modiste’s shop and the lives of French soldiers in their cafes and their camps in Algeria, that “Kiss Me Again” has throughout the country drawn audiences composed almost equally of men and women.
