TRAGEDY IN HOLLYWOOD
YOUNG SINGER FATALLY SHOT. Received Sept. 3, 9.5 p.m. HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 2. Russ Columbo, radio and motion picture singer, was shot and fatally injured when a relic pistol he was inspecting accidentally discharged. The bullet ricochetted from a mahogany dresser and pierced his brain. Columbo, who was aged 2G, died later in hospital. The accident occurred at the home of Lansing Brown, portrait photographer.
