Their I marriage will take place toward the I end of September. Home of Companion. The sum of £l3 Ils was handed to the Home of Compassion as a result of a successful dance organised by Air. and Airs. McKessar and held in the AVanganul East Town Hall last Thursday. The sisters wish to thank the organisers and those who assisted to make the function such a success. Combined Schools Ball. The old-time fashion uf “programmes” and the initials of the two schools worked in flowers across the supper cloths were two of the features of the first ball held last week-end by the Wellington branches of the Woodford House Old Girls’ Association and the AVanganui Collegiate School Old Boys’ Association. 'The Alayfau- Cabaret was chosen for the function and in conspicuous places on the wall were the combined school crests. Airs. Lance Moore, president of the AVellington branch of the Old Girls’ Association, and Colonel Cunningham, president of the AVanganui Collegiate School Old Boys’ AVellington branch, welcomed the guests.
