Mrs. Edclinc Florence Griinwood, < aged 39, was charged before the mag»strate (Mr. Mosley) with carrying on business as a bookmaker and was fined £l5 and costs. The police said that detectives visited accused’s shop in Oxford Terrace as the result of complaints and found . a quantity of betting material. The 1 bets were small and it seemed that accused had been working as an : She said that she had been ill and took up bookmaking to supplement her : income.
