UNITED STATES INCREASE OVER A BILLION DOLLARS {By Telegraph—Press Association—(Dopyright) Received Aug. 19, 7.30 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 18. The New York Times’ Washington •correspondent states that tentative estimates indicate that despite the ravage of the drought, the aggregate national farm income for 1934 will exceed last year’s by over a billion dollars, or about 20 per cent. Preliminary figures not yet officially released by the Department of Agriculture, mention’ n total of 5,950,000,000 dollars coin;-;,. I with 4,868,000,000 in 1933. The total, however, includes about half a billion dollars of bounties ; granted by the Government from processing taxes on wheat, cotton and > other baste crops. ——. _ ~ ■. j
