The weather was wet early after heavy cver-night rain but cleared later in the afternoon. The track was heavy. .The attendance was good under the conditions and the totalisator investments amounted to £25,158, as against £32,343. The total for the meeting was £89,942. compared with £91,381 10s last year. Results:— AYLESBURY STEEPLECHASE. (Of £200; about miles.) 5/3—Night Club, 9.13, Beale 1 4/4 —Willow Glen, 9.3, Turner .... 2 2/1 —Snowy Dawn, 10.’3, Langford . 3 Also—l/2 Arcade, 5/6 Umtali. 7/7 TentcaH, 6/5 Royal Buck. Tentcall fell at the Kennels double the first round and Royal Buck led across the top from Willow Glen, Suowy Dawn, Night Club and Umtali. The order was the same paassing the stands. Umtali fell at th© first of the Kennels double. Royal Buck led to the last fence from Snowy Dawn and Willow Glen. Royal Buck fell at the last fence and Night Club won by four lengths from Willow Glen, with Snowy Dawn a similar distance away. Time, 5-32. LONGBEACH HANDICAP. Passing the stands Royal Lineage had charge from Invictus, Royal Limond. Blacksmith, Hounslow, Cargen, Rasouli and Pahu. Going along the back Royal Lineage was followed by Royal Limond, Invictus and Blacksmith. The leaders were the same rounding the far turn. Crossing the top Royal Lineage increased his lead from Royal Limond and these two were followed into the straight by Cargen, Blacksmith, Pahu and Rasouli. Royal Lineage won easily by eight lengths from Cargen, with Royal Limond a neck away and Rasouli fourth. Time, 3.54. STYX HURDLES. Chile was Verden’s nearest attendant at tho last fence, with Night Parade and Transact next. Verden tired badly in tho run home and was beaten by three-quarters of a length by Chile, with Transact Rix lengths awav. Revision was fourth. Time, 3.25. HEATHCOTE HANDICAP. Ellis 1 1/I—MERCIAN PRINCE, 9.0, Broughton 2 5/4 —CLEANER, 8.0, Phillips .... 3 Also: 5/4 Southdown (bracketed with Cleaner), 6/7 Polydora, 10/12 Ranelagh, 2/5 Ventrac, 7/6 Tiger Gain, 3/2 Water Tower, 4/3 Prince Vai, 9/10 Chhota, 12/11 Lady Spy, 10/8 Silver Sight, 13/13 Palmary, 14/14 Beau Gcste. Beau Geste led out from Ventrac, Lady Spy, Tiger Gain, Mercian Prince and Cleaner. Rounding the far turn Ventrac led from Cleaner, followed by Lady Spy, Tiger Gain, Beau Geste, Mercian Prince, Chhota and Sweet Agnes- Ventrac and Cleaner were together crossing the top nnd led into the straight from Tiger Gain, Mercian Prince, Polydora, Sweet Agnes and Water Power. Mercian Prince led at the distance from Cleaner and Sweet Agnes, but the last-named finished strongly to beat Mercian Prince by half a length. Cleaner was two lengths away and Silver Sight fourth. Time, 2.1. LINCOLN STEEPLECHASE. (Of £350 ; about 3 miles.) 2/I—MEMBO, 9.13, Beale 1 1/2—THURINA, 11.6, Bowden .... 2 5/5 —PETERETTE, 9.0, Langford . 3 Also: 4/4 Billy Boy, 3/3 Valpeen, 6/6 Kapuna, 7/7 Umtali. Kapuna and Valpeen led over Cutts’ from Membo, Thurina, Umtali, Billy Boy and Peterette. Valpeen and Kapuna were together at the Kennels double and led past the stands from Thurina. Membo and Peterette. Thurina jumped to the front at. Cutts’ and was followed down the back by Kapuna (which fell at the first sod wall), Valpeen and Membo. Thurina was three lengths clear of Aalpeen and Membo at the Kennels but Valpeen fell heavily at the top sod wall. Membo ran up to Thurina ap preaching the top brush and led over the last fence, coming on to win by twelve lengths from Thurina- Peterette was ten lengths away and Billy Boy further back.
