CRICKETING COACH
AUCKLAND INTENTIONS. ENCOURAGING DONATIONS, [ Per Tress Association. 1 AUCKLAND, July 3. The engagement of a prominent Eng* lish cricketer to act as coach during tho coming season is being contemplated by the management commit ten of the Auckland Cricket Association, which has been in touch with the authorities in England. A leading English County professional player ha« signified his willingness to accept the position. The question of finance is exercising the minds of the. management committee of the association. Large organisation throughout Auckland have beecn approached and an encouraging response has been received. Already half of the money required is in sight. The committee ( »f the Auckland Racing Club, which has been a very consistent contributor to the association’s coach fund, has decided to donate £lOO
