The South Island fertiliser comp, ares have fallen into line with those in the North Island in respect to the increase in the price of fertilisersThe South island companies are in a different position to those in the North by reason of the fact rhat prices are quoted delivered free at the main points —Ashburton, Timaru, Oamaru, Baldutba. Gore and Invercargill. Prior tn June 30 the price charged in view of this, was £4 5s a ton. against £4 a ton in the North Island. Now the subsidy of 5s a ton has been discontinued the price is £4 8s 6d delivered free at main point*.
