Mr. J. Williams was appointed last evening to represent the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce at the annual meeting of the Wanganui-Main Trunk Boys’ and Girls’ Calf Clubs, to be held on Friday evening. Mr. B. B. Tevic-tdale, who has been associated with the New Zealand Refrigerating Co. for the past five years, has been appointed to the staff' of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. JMcnds of Air. John O’Halloran, of Parapara Road, Makirikiri, will learn with regret of the death of his wile after a lengthy illness. Born at Bantry, County Cork. Ireland, as Miss Nora Crowley, she came out to New Zealand some 25 years ago, her marriage to Mr. “Jack” O’Halloran taking place 13 years ago. Of a retiring disposition. Airs O’Halloran nevertheless was well known in the Makirikiri district for generosity and hospitality. She leaves one daughter.
