FIGHT AGAINST THE SEA
The story of how the members of a family are fighting to save their homt from being washed away by the sea was told recently. On Exmouth Warren, a strip of sand across the River Exo, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Salter are endeavouring to keep their homo high ind dry. Twelve months ago, the sea was about 100 yards away from theii' bungalow. Now the waves nearly lap the front door. If Mr. and Mrs'. Salter had not erected barricades the bungalow would have been washed away. Their’s is the only family inhabiting the colony all the year round.
