OPIUM RAID

Two men and a woman appeared in the Magistrate’s Court before Mr Stilwell, S.M., as a result of the opium search made by customs officers •and detectives on Saturday. They were: Mary Greathead, who was charged I with being unlawfully in poss» ssion of i prepared opium, and with nerniitting I premises in Kent Terrace to be used for the storage and concealment "f " < Treat hi ad, aged 2S. baker and ship 's cook, who vas charged with being unlawfully in pos- I session of prepared opium and import- j ing prepared opium; and Ernest ! Frederick Greathead, aged 24, labourer, who was charged with being unlaw- i fully in possession of an automatic , pistol and 19 rounds of ammunition. ’ All three were remanded to appear on Tuesday.
