In fact, Die South Island is bMng unduly penalised because the North Island has regular shipments from California and the Islands. There seems to be apathy on the part of the public in the North. Island towards the effect of the embargo on this trade down here.” A deputation representing the medical, shipping and business sections of the community, as veil as members ot the trade, and of public bodies, will wait on the ‘Mayor to-morrow morning to endeavour to secure his active cooperation in the lifting cf the embargo.
