OBITUARY
MR. W. J. TOMKINSON ( Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, June 29. The death occurred at St. George’f Hospital this afternoon of Mr. W. J. lompkinson, wed-known trainer of trotters. Mr. Tompkmson was injured on May 16 in a fall from a motor float on which he was loading horses and sulkies. lie went to hospital, but was discharged a week later apparently recovering. but in a few days he had to return to hospital ano tris condition grew steadily worse. The falj caused grave internal injuries, which were not at fust apparent.
