GALA NIGHT DANCE

A much enjoyed dance was held in the Glasgow Street Social Hall on Thursday evening, when there was a good attendance of dancers. Music was provided by the Arcadians’Orchestra and Mr. Simmonds was M.C. A dainty supper was dispensed by the ladies' committee and served from a large tea trolley. Novelty dances were , a feature of the programme. Miss V. Healy capably judging. The Monte Cano was won by Mrs. Lister and M. Hagley. Lucky Star: Mr. and Mrs. Carlton. Waltzing Competition: Won by Mr. Stevens and Miss Clutterbuck. M. Hooker and partner and Mr. Sheehy and partner equal for second. Owing to illness it was impossible to hold the exhibition foxtrot which will be given at a later date.
