MAD JACKALS
LARGE AREAS TERRORISED. OVER 100 PEOPLE BITTEN. CALCUTTA, June 26. Mad jackals are terrorising largt areas in the Mominabad district in tin Deccan to such an extent that the vil lagers arc afraid to venture out unles armed. Hitherto over a hundred poisons have been bitten and five havi died. It is presumed that a mad jacka bit a bull which died and the careast was eaten by other jackals, which havi been infected.
