A GENEROUS ACTION
ROTARIANS FIND £2OOO FUND FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN A SOCIETY FOR MANA WAT U ( Per Press Association ). l AILMEBSTON N., June 25. Two thousand pounds have been acquired by the Palmerston North Rotary Club towards the establishment of a Crippled Children’s Society in the Manawatu. This money will be donated by means of an insurance scheme to be placed in trust on behalf of a Crippled Children’s Society. The president, Mr. W. G. Black, stated that twenty members of the Rotary Club agreed to insure their Jives for £lOO each. These twenty policies would be deposited with the club, which would have available a reserve of £2OOO, or half the total sum aimed at. This generous action, which has demonstrated the reality of Rotary’s interest, is also to encourage the public to assist in furnishing the remainder of the required sum. About fifty children will benefit immediately tne activities are commenced. The club plaxi-ed on record its approval of the action of the Twenty donors.
