RULES FOR COMPETITION AMERICAN CONTROVERSY (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) Received May 9, 7.10 p.m. NEW YORK, May 9. The New York Herald-Tribune’s Washington correspondent understands that the contest committee of the National Aeronautic Association will start a series of conferences on Wednesday, and will probably bring to a “show down” the controversy over the eligibility rules for the Macßobertson race. It is understood that Mr. Bingham has received late information from Australia on the basis of which a course of action will be determined.
