KNOCKED OFF CYCLE
YOUNG WOMAN INJURED. ACCIDENT AT CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE, April 5. Alias Brenda Alice Lewis, aged about 22 rears, was seriously injured thia afternoon when she was knocked from her bicycle by a car driven by J. Mitchell, of Roto-o-rangi. The car was approaching an intersection from the bridge, ax hen a lorry came out from Wilson Street and in avoiding a collision the woman was knocked her cycle, hitting the macadam road heavily. The car continued across the road, smashed a wire fence around the police station grounds, and camo to a stop in the paddock. The injured woman was found to be suffering from a broken shoulder blade, concussion and shock, and was removed to the Waikato Hospital. Aliss Lewis had only recently arrived in Cambridge, from Wanganui, where her people reside.
