COTTON INDUSTRIES. MEETING IN LONDON. ( British Officia Wireless. I RUGBY, Dec. 20. The negotiations committee of the British cotton and artificial silk industries met the Japanese cotton rcrepresentatives in London to-day. The following resolutions were passed: (1) The British and Japanese delegations are of opinion that the interests of both countries and the industries of both would be best served by commencing official industrial negotiations as soon as possible; (2) the British delegation is of opinion that the cotton and artificial silk industries are now so intricately involved each in the fortunes of the other that the contem plated negotiations must embrace artificial silk, yarns, and farbics.
