PLEASING PERFORMANCE

QUEEN’S PAUK SCHOOL St. Paul’s Hall was comfortably filled when the pupils of Queen ’sPark School rendered the cantata, “Happy t amily, ’ • under the capable direction of J. Aitken, ALA., at the close of the school year. The solos and choruses were excellently performed and reflected great cerdit upon their teacher. At the conclusion of the cantata -Mr. Tutty, chairman of the school committee, thanked Air. Aitken for the evident care he had taken in preparing the performers. In replying, Mr. Aitken stated that he had taken great pleasure in the work and thanked Air. Putty for his remarks. Th e wlfole presentation was exceedingly pleasing and all the principals took their parts in a most capable manner. The principals were: Old woman, Joyce Jenkinson; Aladdin, Janies Pettigrew ; Aliss ALuilitt, Linda Carswell; Sind bad, Gordon Strachan; Alarjory Daw, Alva Wallace; Dorothy Draggletail, Olive Shearer; Blue Beard, Alex Wilson; Alessenger, Bruce Towers; Robinson Crusoe, Ken Dunlop; Cinderella, Dorothy Jackson; Grace, Zola Jamieson; Patience, Patricia Godwin; Ali Baba, Tony Wells; Goady Turshocs, Nancy Gibbard; Friday, Patricia James. Ono of th e outstanding features of the performance was the dancing of Aliss Joan Peters, who danced the Sailor’s Hornpipe, accompanied by the pipes. Miss N. Jenkinson, of the school staff, officiated at the piano.
